Hi, my name is Tony Bernier and I'm one of the boxing coaches for Anthony Rodriguez. Anthony is the first boxer coming out of the Woonsocket Boxing Club who won the final tournament at the regional Golden Gloves in Lowell, MA. He will be fighting in the National Golden Gloves Tournament in Detroit May 13th-18th. I have been involved in Anthony's training since 2019. He graduated high school and is currently working as an electrician's apprentice. This past semester while fighting in the Southern New England and All New England Golden Gloves he was also attending classes in the evenings 2 nights a week, working 7-3 five days a week, meeting me in the mornings at 5am for strength and conditioning most days of the week, and training in the boxing gym or sparring the rest of weekday nights and some weekends. His work recently slowed down and unfortunately, he was also in an accident recently and totaled his car. This happened when bringing his friend back from soccer practice when he was heavily fatigued after 4 days of sparring to prepare himself for the national tournament. He could really use some cash to help with food, supplements, and boxing gear leading up to the tournament as well to save for another car. Right now he has to take 2 buses to get to work and 2 buses home. This cuts 3 hours out of his where he could be training. Here is a 20 year old kid trying to do all the right things. Anything anyone would be willing to donate to help him would be very much appreciated. If you can't donate, please say a prayer for him. God bless
