Fuel Alice's Dream: from Flight Attendant to Pilot ‍✈️

Hi! My name is Alice, and after 10 incredible years working as a flight attendant, I’m finally chasing my dream of becoming a commercial airline pilot.

This September, I’ll be starting my training at United Aviate Academy, one of the most competitive pilot schools in the U.S.

While I’m full of excitement and determination, I’m also facing the biggest challenge of my life — funding my training. The cost of pilot school, exams, and living expenses adds up to tens of thousands of dollars. Despite scholarships, savings, and side hustles, I still need help to bridge the gap.

Why This Means So Much

Growing up, I never imagined someone like me — a Korean-American woman — could sit in the captain’s seat. But after years of flying in the cabin and falling in love with aviation, I knew I had to try.

This isn’t just about flying a plane.

It’s about proving to myself (and others) that it’s never too late to start over, never too late to reach higher, and that dreams can fly with a little help.
