Fudge with medical bills
Donation protected
Hi my name is Fudge. I’m a five month old Boston Terrier/Pug mix and I’m very sick. I’ve stopped walking and playing and I’m yelping in pain. I was doing okay but I don’t want to eat today. Pain medication isn’t working and I feel terrible. My mom doesn’t know what’s wrong with me and needs to take me to the emergency hospital to find out. Mom doesn’t have the money to do this so we’re asking for your help. Even $5 would help. Mom will put herself in debt to save my life and any help you could give would go a long way to helping my family out.
Thank you.
Love,
Fudge
UPDATE: Fudge has no family history of illness or neurological conditions. The rest of her litter are healthy and fine. Fudge has now seen three different vets. We have gotten no answers other than this is a drug reaction to Simparica Trio by Zoetis. Our expenses are as follows:
1. Shamrock Veterinary Hospital: $352
2. Nanaimo Emergency Hospital: $900
3. Van Isle Veterinary Hospital: $830
4. Referral to Neurologist: $50
5. Special diet/supplements: $100
6. Consult with Neurologist: $250
7. Initial tests at Neurologist: $2000
8. Physical Therapy: ??
9. 24/7 round the clock care: ??

Our family needs your help! Fudge needs to be hand fed and carried to go to the bathroom. It appears she has had a stroke/seizure in her sleep. She now suffers from ataxia, tremors, lethargy, loss of appetite, confusion and disorientation. She cannot walk properly for more than 50 meters and frequently falls over. She requires round the clock care. Her symptoms are directly in line with the serious adverse effects of the flea/tick/heart worm medication Simparica Trio by Zoetis, the only medication she’s ever had, which was administered appropriately 2 weeks before she fell ill.

The longer we have to wait to treat her symptoms, the worse her prognosis is.
Our family waited six years for Fudge, who was supposed to be an emotional support dog for my son who has autism and PTSD. I am out of money to move forward. If we cannot raise funds I will have to put her down. She has the chance to recover!!! She is still the sweetest, most loving, gentle puppy you’ve ever met. Please help us.
