Parnell Athletics Club has grown steadily through its 55 year history. The Club draws its 240 members from all over east Wicklow and has a vibrant juveniles section with over 150 members regularly training and competing. It came to a point where it was not sustainable for the Club not to have a dedicated training facility. Wicklow County Council has signed a licence agreement with Parnell Athletics Club, giving the Club access to a field for use. This is a pivotal moment in the Club's history and we are hugely grateful to Wicklow County Council. Initially, to get us up and "running", it will cost in the region of €20,000, with further costs down the road as we progress. We are calling on the generosity of our many members, parents and supporters to help us in raising these vital funds so we can set up a gravel running track, grass cross country loops, field sports facilities and ancillary parking facilities and continue to provide a valuable training facility for our current juvenile, adult and future members.
