Beautiful Jade, a brave and resilient 13-year-old girl, was involved in a serious car accident in Darwin on the 12th January that has left her in critical condition.
Jade along with her mother Bridgette were airlifted to Adelaide through Careflight, with her dad Vern flying on the next available flight. Leaving Aiden, her big brother in Darwin with his grandma. The family has been left facing an overwhelming journey of disbelief, sadness, uncertainty and fear.
An update on Jade's incredible fighting spirit and her ongoing battle - Despite the initial prognosis from the hospital staff, Jade has shown remarkable determination defying all odds and continuing to fight.
Jade is currently in an induced coma at the Adelaide hospital, where she is receiving specialised medical care. While her condition remains critical, her fighting spirit shines through every day. Her medical team is closely monitoring her progress, and they are doing everything they can to support her recovery. It is still too early, however to determine the full extent of her injuries. Despite the uncertainty surrounding her prognosis and the potential challenges she may face in the future, Jade's determination to overcome this ordeal is awe-inspiring and she continues to prove her medical team wrong at every opportunity.
Jade's parents, brother and family have given their all during this challenging time. As they stand by her side, navigating the complexities of her medical journey, their unwavering love and dedication is truly remarkable. They have been a constant source of strength, comfort and inspiration. Remaining steadfast in their determination to provide her with all their love and the best possible care.
