2021 has been a crazy year. We got engaged right before Christmas and life was PERFECT. Jonathan's family and I got covid right around Christmas. By New Years Jonathan started feeling sick but didn't get covid tested. He was sick on and off the whole month of January, very tired, no appetite, fever and sweats. We went to urgent care at the end of January and they said he had bronchitis from likely having covid. At the beginning of February he went to his primary care doctor and she sent him for bloodwork, multiple times. With no answers and not feeling better at the beginning of March they suggested a CT scan and appointment with a hemotologist. March 3rd Jonathan woke me up at 1am "not feeling right" and we went to Frederick Memorial Hospital, we were there for 5 days, after chest xrays, an MRI, CT scan, blood cultures, 2 biopsies and IVs. They had a preliminary diagnosis of T Cell Lymphoma. He was transfered to Johns Hopkins THAT night. Hopkins did more bloodwork, xrays, scans and biopsies and had a diagnosis of Hodgkins Lymphoma. After 5 days at Hopkins he was finally feeling good enough for them to start Chemo! His first chemo treatment was March 13th and we got to pick him up right when he was done!! ♡ He had chemo every 2 weeks for a month and a half until his fever came back. We met with his Doctor and they suggested another type of chemo and a bone marrow transplant once the tumors have shrunk enough and he is close to remission. In July the new chemo wasn't showing enough progress so they switched him to an immunotherapy which he had a reaction to that 45 minutes afterwards. His August 16th PETscan looks great, only 2 areas light up! His bone marrow transplant is scheduled for early September! He will have a Hickman Catheter placed in his chest for about 60 days and we will have to go Hopkins every single day during that time. He will have little to no immune system so me and his mom will be his 24hour caregivers! As for work Jonathan will be unable to work for 3-6 months after transplant and my work is allowing me to work from home.

We are not expecting anything and everyone that has already donated, we cannot explain how grateful we are.
All of these donations will go directly to medical bills.
Thank you,
♡ Kim
