Help Chester get surgery

Hi, My name is Kait, and I'm fundraising for The Degennaro family and their dog Chester (aka Chesto, Cheeto, Handsome boy etc.). Those of you who know Chesto know he never fails to bring a smile to everyones face. He is a very energetic boy who loves to play, go on adventures and rides, and most of all protect and spend time with "his humans". Chester also LOVES to hunt... Well, this past week, he decided to take on a porquipine; needless to say, it didn't end well. Chester ended up having an emergency sleepover at Newton Vet, where they successfully removed the quills from his face and mouth. However there were well over 20 quills stuck in his chest/abdomen. They removed as many as possible, but the fear now is that the remaining quills will begin to migrate into his body rather than out. The migration poses a huge risk to his body and health. The removal of the remaining quills as well as all the scans and medications needed is a very expensive bill and they are not going to be able to cover it all themselves. Neither I nor the family are the kind of people to ask for help like this, but we truly aren't sure what else to do at this point.
