My name is Alexis Christian. I am a 31-year-old single mom of an amazing 5-year-old son and a cat mom to 5-month-old “Callie the Cat Cleopatra Christian”.

In July 2020, at the tail-end of the initial COVID lockdown, I was diagnosed with breast cancer (stage 3 invasive ductal carcinoma).

I underwent a bilateral mastectomy in August 2020 and chemotherapy / medical treatment from October 2020 - November 2021.

Nine months later, cancer came back.

After reviewing my scans, pathology, and presenting my case to the tumor board, it was recommended that I go through treatment again. This past Thursday, January 26, 2023, I underwent my first round of a 5 month-long course of dose-dense, aggressive chemotherapy treatments, followed by 30 days of radiation therapy.

Though I will continue working full-time during my treatment, I am keenly aware of the toll that these treatments can take on my body. I’m reaching out for help because this time around, the treatment is expected to be far more taxing - one medicine is called the “Red Devil” - and I anticipate that my physical abilities will be much more limited. I am seeking assistance to meet the following needs:

1. Help with payment of medical bills from 2020 and current medical bills including medication.

2. In-home cleaning services to aid in my home safety and upkeep.

3. A part-time sitter to ensure that my son’s needs are met with little disruption to his typical routine.

Any consideration for financial help is extremely appreciated.
