Help Support Laura's Fight to Live!

Hi, my name is Laura. I'm a wife, a mother, and I have worked most of my life as a licensed practical nurse. I have a rare form of cancer called cholangiocarcimona (also known as bile duct cancer). It is very aggressive, and I have been battling this equally aggressively!

My treatment thus far has included frequent hospitalizations, intense chemotherapy, and immunotheraphy, many blood transfusions, and multiple x-rays and CAT scans. My family--my husband, Alan, and my daughter, Amanda--and I have had many moments of feeling hopeful for the future, but this aggressive disease has created a huge strain emotionally, physically, and financially. We feel exhausted and drained.

My husband and I are asking for your help with raising funds that will go toward medical bills, medication, and travel to Lincoln and Omaha for frequent doctor appointment and hospital stays. While Alan accompanies me on those visits, he loses wages from missing work, which only adds to our burden.
