Scooter Tramp Scotty needs an engine
I want u all to know that this gofundme thing was not my idea. Some were offering to help and asking where to send money. That's all.
It is true that my engine is gone.
These are my options: I can get a brand new S&S engine at cost or a used Evo. The S&S is about $4,200. Dale put this up and he shot high because of tax, unforeseen extras, and probably the percentage gofundme takes; or maybe he was just feeling overly zealous at the time. It's also true that he wants to see me on that brand new engine. But it's either the new S&S (very exciting) or the used evo I can get considerably cheaper. I'm hoping for the spanking new engine of course, but the stock used engine will be fine too. I have some money of my own and will be happy to use it.
I intend to keep a list of any who donate $50 or more and eventually get Pin-Strip Mike to put these names on my tour pack or saddlebags as being sponsors.
For those who choose to contribute I'd like to express my appreciation. If not, no worries. The show will go on, and l hope to keep writing stuff for any who are interested for years to come.
