Recovering from a Life-Changing Accident
Donation protected
As some of you know, I suffered a tragic accident while driving to lunch in my golf cart. At the intersection of Lake Ida and Swinton, a man decided he couldn't wait for the church traffic to move faster and ran a red light, driving into me. I was thrown from my cart, and the cart landed on my back. I broke most of my back ribs, some with multiple fractures, and crushed my right wrist with the bone completely exposed. Plates and screws were installed to stabilize the worst of the ribs.
As I have spent the last 8 days in the hospital, so many wonderful friends have stepped in to help with Ruby and the dogs. I will need to continue to pay for help since I can't keep asking these wonderful friends to upend their lives. I will have exorbitant medical bills since I was just about to start a new job and HR cannot confirm if I'm covered by medical insurance since technically I haven't started work. It's always been hard for me to ask for help, and I thank the loving families who have stepped up. Any donation you can make would be so appreciated.
