One year ago, Irina’s life changed overnight.

For 33 years, Irina worked as a doctor, dedicating her life to caring for others. Today, she is the one fighting for her life.

Everything began in May with what seemed like a routine appendectomy. But after the surgery, doctors made a devastating discovery. The pathology results revealed a rare and extremely aggressive cancer: high-grade poorly differentiated neuroendocrine carcinoma.

Since that moment, Irina has been in a continuous fight against the disease.

In June, she underwent major surgery to remove part of her colon, followed by six cycles of intensive chemotherapy.

In September, scans showed the cancer had spread to her liver.

In November, she faced another difficult surgery to remove the liver metastases.

In December, she started a new, stronger chemotherapy treatment.

But in January, doctors delivered heartbreaking news: the cancer continued to progress and standard treatments are no longer working.

Today, Irina’s only chance is a specialized treatment available in clinics abroad, where doctors have experience treating rare neuroendocrine cancers.

Unfortunately, the cost of this treatment is far beyond what our family can afford.
