Support a Brave Journey to Recovery and Hope

If you clicked the link, then you already have my thanks. I'm truly grateful that you are here. If you cannot donate financially, I will certainly appreciate your prayers!!

To start, I want you to know that I had been working for over 20 years at a job that allowed me to serve my hometown and county. I loved doing the work and would say that I was at least decent at it, LOL! One day this all changed when I began to feel pain in my right shoulder. Thinking it was a slight sprain b/c of the physical nature of my job, I kept pressing. But the pain worsened over time and eventually moved down to my legs.

After a couple of doctor visits which eventually led to a nerve-racking ride in an ambulance, that led to an even more nerve-racking med-evac helicopter to Grady Memorial in Atlanta, I was told that there was a cancerous tumor located on my spine. The doctors told me it was called non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. Having never had any major illnesses, my world was rocked...turnt upside down.

Surgery was successfully performed to remove most of the tumor. I thank God for that. I endured a few rounds of chemo, and after being hospitalized and in therapy for well over a month, I was released. Glad to be home, but sadly I was and am still unable to walk.

Because of the extended hospital stay and the therapy I was given, and my subsequent inability to return to work, my insurance funds were depleted, and I have yet to receive help from Disability as a financial source.

I have not worked since January 31, 2024.

Meanwhile, my bills at home as well as medical bills continue to pile up. I'm grateful for my partner who has been a solid rock with me in all of this from day one. I'm grateful for my family and friends who have given what they could when they could. But unfortunately, it is not enough. As I wait for disability to kick-in, I have to depend on the kindness and generosity of others.

To know me is to know that I am no stranger to hard work. I have truly enjoyed working for the city of Unadilla which eventually led to me working for Dooly County. In these positions, I worked as Public Works Director of Utilities and Heavy Equipment Operator. I love my community and I've loved working for my community these 20+ years. I am praying and hoping that the good Lord will bless my legs to walk again so that I can get back to doing what I love.

Until then, I desperately need help. If you are reading this and are able to give, will you please? I don't care if it's even just .50 cents. In my condition, something is better than nothing, so I will be grateful. I do realize that in this economy and with inflation, times are hard for most of us. If you can't give financially, then would you please remember me in your prayers? In fact, if you can give or not, I ask that you please pray for me.

Lord knows I'd rather be walking and able to work far more than being in a position to have to impose on you all. But this is all I know to do at this point. Life has been very difficult and taken a toll on my mental and emotional well being. It is hard being a man and not being able to provide for yourself and your family. But this is where I am. I truly desperately need the help y'all.

Thank you for being here, and thank you for considering me.

Humbly & Sincerely,
"Rab", "Rabbit", "Big Hurt" = Teriano Felder :)
