Rafał has already undergone several skin graft procedures, but unfortunately not all of the grafts have been successful, and further surgeries are planned.

He remains in a medically induced coma.

He has required multiple blood transfusions.

Doctors are continuing to adjust his medications.

He has also developed a very high fever, which can be a sign of infection or inflammation and is something the medical team will be monitoring very closely.

I sincerely hope the doctors are able to stabilize his condition and that the upcoming procedures are successful.

A few days ago, a tragic accident occurred in our city of Aberdeen. An 18-year-old young man named Rafał was at home when a fire broke out in his apartment. The blaze quickly became extremely severe, and to make matters worse, a gas explosion occurred inside the flat.

Rafał lived on the second floor, and escaping through the front door was completely impossible. In an attempt to protect himself from the intense flames, he leaned as much of his body as possible out of the window. The explosion that followed only made the situation worse, and the fire continued to spread rapidly.

Terrified and fighting for his life, Rafał was desperately crying out and begging for help. By the time firefighters managed to rescue him from the burning apartment, he had already suffered devastating injuries.

He was immediately transported to a specialist hospital in Glasgow, where he was placed in an induced coma. Rafał has sustained third- and fourth-degree burns covering approximately 60% of his body.

Rafał has a younger sister and a little brother. His mother has not left his bedside since the accident. His condition remains critical.

Although he has already undergone surgery, several more operations are planned. Rafał has his whole life ahead of him, yet in a matter of seconds, everything changed dramatically.
