I'm humbly requesting your support and generous contribution in helping to raise money for my friend and coworker, M.E. Evelyn Onsurez, who is currently homeless. She has been living in her car for nearly a year. Despite her current predicament and struggles, Evelyn always comes to work giving others positive affirmations and doing all she can to lift the spirits of others. She has 3 children that are unable to stay with her due to her current living situation. Although we work for the county as essential workers helping others meet their daily struggles, we are often exempt from receiving help because the minimal income we receive is just above the poverty level.

After a year of an exhausting search, Evelyn was just recently approved for an apartment that she is finally able to afford, but she needs our support with retaining the rent and deposit to move into her new home. Your support would also assist Evelyn in regaining custody of her children and giving them the gift of a safe environment and a place to call “home” before the upcoming holidays. The money received will be used for her move-in expenses and to assist with providing much needed habitability items.
