Danny Williams

Danny is the head custodian at Jefferson School and so much more. He is a friend to everyone. His smile is infectious, and his laughter brings joy to all those within hearing distance. He shows compassion and empathy and encourages teachers, staff, and students. It hasn't been out of the ordinary to see a struggling student making the rounds with Danny. He acts as a mentor, all while teaching kids the value of hard work.

Danny's days as a track star have left him with a condition in his hip requiring surgery. His co-workers have watched him walk around the school in obvious pain, but still showing up. His surgery was scheduled for the first part of February, but due to a complication, it has been postponed. This means a lot more days off work than sick days cover, plus recovery time.
