Help RagdollZombie get an APAP machine!

Hello!

I've started this fundraiser on behalf of my very good friend, Kylie — otherwise known as "RagdollZombie".

This talented young woman on the Autism spectrum has been experiencing gradually worsening symptoms of Sleep Apnea.

Through a series of unfortunate events, Ragdoll was tossed off her mother's health insurance policy. It was a mistake, but she will have to jump through hoops to be put back on it. This will include doing an evaluation for her Autism.

People keep giving her the run-around. Due to being kicked off of her mother's health insurance policy, she has not been able to receive treatment for the worsening Sleep Apnea (as she lives in the United States).

Sleep Apnea is a serious sleep disorder in which breathing repeatedly stops and starts. Ragdoll often recounts the sensation of her chest collapsing and waking up gasping for air. She fears that this ongoing sleep deprivation may cause long-term damage to her heart. I have witnessed firsthand, over the last 20 days, Ragdoll's struggle to get any form of adequate sleep. It has been torture for her.

Ragdoll and her mother are living on a limited income. As Ragdoll is unable to work a "normal" job due to the challenges that come with being on the spectrum, they haven't been able to scrape together the money needed for her treatments or a desperately-needed APAP machine. An APAP machine will help keep her airways open as she sleeps.

Ragdoll is a talented artist who spends her time in NeosVR making avatars and helping others. She always does her best to bring positivity and joy to the people around her. It's heartbreaking to witness her go through this, as she cannot even focus on the creative outlets that enrich her life — let alone get a decent night's rest.
