My name is Rebecca Conklin, and with faith and hope, I am sharing our family’s story during one of the hardest seasons of our lives.

Our family is going through one of the most heartbreaking experiences of our lives. Despite doing everything the legal way, my husband was taken into ICE custody. He entered the United States lawfully and has followed every step required of him, with active applications currently in process. We truly believed that by doing things the right way, our family would be protected. Instead, we are now separated and fighting to be together again.

We have a young toddler who is just 1.5 years old, and he has been deeply affected by his dad’s absence. He looks for him, asks for him, and doesn’t understand why his father is suddenly gone. Watching our child miss his dad and not being able to explain this in a way he can understand has been absolutely devastating.

My husband is a loving father and partner. And his absence has left a hole that we feel every single day. What should be a time of joy and growth for our little family has instead become a time filled with fear, uncertainty, and emotional strain.

We are raising funds to help cover urgent legal fees so our attorney can continue fighting for my husband’s release and for our family to be reunited. Immigration cases move quickly, and having strong legal representation is critical—but the cost is overwhelming.
