The month of September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month, as well as Histiocytosis Awareness Month. As a survivor myself, the month means a lot to me personally. You probably didn’t know that less than 4% of cancer funding goes to pediatrics. So please join me in pushing for a cure and making survivorship possible for another child! I was diagnosed with Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis when I was 10 years old and fought for 3.5 years. I had multiple surgeries and went through a lot of rounds of chemotherapy. I’ve been in remission for 2.5 years.
