On September 23rd, 2014 I was diagnosed with stage three colon cancer. For 8 months prior to my diagnosis I had been in tremendous amounts of pain and had seen 6 different doctors, all who could not figure out what was wrong with me. Being told I have cancer isn’t something I ever thought I would have to face in my life, let alone at 29 years old after just marrying the love of my life, but in a way it was a relief compared to not knowing what was wrong. I’m in for the fight and to win, but I need help. Cancer is a big enough battle to face on its own without bringing the financial consideration into the mix. However the medical expenses are a reality and since I’ve been diagnosed I haven’t been able to work and will not be able to for some time while I go through aggressive chemo and radiation treatments.
