Hi! My name is Kelly and I am raising funds for my daughter’s puppy, Zelda. She is in need of surgery. During her spay attempt, the veterinarian discovered that she had an extremely thick membrane and once he cut through it he found that Zelda’s ovaries and several organs are adhered together, including her colon. The vet wasn’t comfortable doing the spay because the risk was high of injury, so he sewed her up and we were then sent to a surgeon. The surgeon told us that she would need surgery to separate the organs before the ovaries could be removed. He then said if we don’t get her spayed, we can run into many issues, such as cancer and Pyometra, so the surgery and spay will be an extensive and expensive procedure. My daughter is in the process of filing for Disabilty and has no way of coming up with the amount of money needed for this surgery. The problem is that the surgeon said it needs to be done before Zelda goes into heat for the third time or the surgery can’t be performed. There is no guarantee this will give Zelda a full life but the odds are much better than not spaying her. Zelda needs help! Any help is extremely appreciated!!!
