I am reaching out to seek help and support for Mr. Sahaj Singh who is now 15 years of age. Sahaj is all alone, having lost his family to tragic events.
Sahaj’s Dad, Mr. Davinderpal Singh died on June 16th 2019 on Father's Day at the age of 41. It was a tragic loss of a very young life. He suddenly fell from stairs at his house and hit a metal object on the head which caused a brain injury that led to his death.
Sahaj lost his mother to a fatal asthma attack at the age of 37 on September 2017. She was a Organ Donor and saved many lives even after her death.
Sahaj was very close to his uncle (Sahaj’s Dad’s brother) who passed away with Cancer at the age of 32, in the year 2015 when Sahaj was just 11 years old.
Sahaj’s family has gone through these multiple tragedies in the last four years. On top of that, Sahaj is trying to support his widowed grandmother who is severely handicapped from an auto accident 22 years ago. She suffers from extreme physical and mental disability. For Sahaj, it is extremely difficult, as it would be for any 15 year old in his situation, to manage his life without any support, to continue his studies, and to support his aging grandmother.
Sahaj is a great student and despite all the adversity and loss of his father, uncle and mother, he continues to excel in school. He goes to Salesianum School in Delaware (https://www.salesianum.org/). The School has been a huge support for Sahaj. Despite his formidable adversities, Sahaj is still motivated to continue his studies and is trying to stay as positive as possible but he needs your help in putting his life back together. He wants to go to college but It is very difficult for him without outside financial support.
We are asking everyone to help him financially. No contribution is too small. Every little contribution will help him put his life together and become a productive and an upstanding citizen of society over the next few years. Sahaj and his grandmother Kamaljeet Kaur need a place to stay and also need financial assistance
