Help Fund Dylan's Top Surgery!

Hi, my name is Dylan. I'm a transgender man originally from Pennsylvania, though I just recently moved to Chicago.

I'm looking to get top surgery very soon, and have my consult set up for October 13th.

If you're willing to donate anything at all, it would mean a lot to me. I'm so excited to finally feel like myself after fighting all of these years just to understand who I was.

I always grew up as the "tomboy," never having friends that were girls or wanting to dress in girl's clothing. It was hard for me to navigate the world feeling like nobody could see who I was. When I entered middle school, I forced myself to be feminine for the first time in my life because I thought it would make me friends. Shocker, it didn't. I was more miserable than ever even though I finally "fit in." I would constantly run home after school and put my hair up in a hat and hoodie to "look like a boy," and it was just a party trick for years until I finally realized there was a reason it made me so much happier than the way I was forcing myself to look every day. It took me a while to gain the courage to come out, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. I am seriously the happiest I've ever been in my life and hope to continue making up for all the time I lost as a kid wishing I could have been born a boy.

All of these funds will go directly to funding my surgery and aftercare. Any leftover money will be donated directly to an LGBTQ+ charity (if you know any reputable ones please let me know!) I may expand the fundraiser goal as I am not sure what my exact surgical cost will end up being until insurance reaches out with those details. The range I was given was basically 1-6,000.
