Help Casper Live Glaucoma Free! Emergency Surgery

Hi everyone! For those who do not know me, my name is Sarah Molina, and this is my family's sweet angel Casper. I don't usually post my private life, but this is so incredibly important to me, my family, and all those who know Casper. He was diagnosed with glaucoma June of this year and has battled it every single day since. This horrible and painful condition had not only abruptly stolen majority of his eyesight within one week of being diagnosed, but it will also continue to cause him increasing pain in both of his eyes with no cure.

My family has been working day in and day out for the past five months to save his eyes and the little vision he had left. Casper needs four different kinds of eye medication, each used three times daily. We have paid for countless veterinary and ophthalmologist appointments to make sure he gets the medication and help he needs. It was all worth it because until recently his eye pressures were brought down to normal and the pain diminished.

Unfortunately, just before his last November specialist checkup, his eye pressures have more than doubled and will continue to increase everyday because his eye medication is no longer effective. He has also lost all remaining vision due to irreparable damage to his eyes. This leaves us with the painful decision of either putting him down or resorting to surgery. The surgery is called a bilateral enucleation, and it involves the removal of both eyes to permanently rid him of glaucoma and its painful symptoms.

The procedure is $4500 and we are trying to raise money to help us provide Casper with the treatment he needs to avoid our worst nightmare. Any support would mean the world to us and help give Casper another Christmas by our side. We have all been through so much, but no one has endured more than he has. Despite his condition, he is strong and in high spirits and we know this is not his time to go. Casper continues to enjoy playing, cuddling, eating his doggy treats and has adapted to his blindness.  His physical checkups have confirmed he is healthy enough for surgery and has not given up yet. We want to persevere as much as he has, and this is our last chance to! Please help us give our childhood dog his life back, any support is appreciated!

Thank you kindly,

Sarah and Family
