Help me help Lilly

This is tough, really tough. I have never been great at reaching out for help and support when I need it. This isn’t about me though, it’s about Lilly.

Lilly recently underwent some more assessments for her learning. She completed a cognition test and a learning disorder test.
The outcomes from these assessments suggest Lilly has severe dyslexia on top of her Apraxia of Speech and Dyspraxia/DCD. Now, as hard as this was to hear, the great news was, there are strategies I can put in place to help her with her learning.
Great right!?  we have been recommended to a new speechie who specialises in this field - we can get started almost immediately except- NDIS is not releasing funds for me to pay for the assessment she had, which means the organisation who assessed her, won’t release reports, findings and recommendations. so we are stuck. 

I had two seperate conversations with NDIS who assured me that as her funds are there, they would immediately be paid, and I would not be a cent out of pocket. TWICE this information was confirmed by NDIS staff.
now- a third call that I made to follow up payment resulted in me being told I was misinformed and would have to lodge a feedback form and ask for a review. This could take between 4-6 weeks. That would bring us to the end of term 4 with nothing in place for Lilly.  Then six weeks of nothing... we would be back at square 1.

i am hoping to quickly raise $1800. $1500 of which would have her report findings and recommendations released immediately and $300 to book and confirm our initial payment for new speechie, which NDIS won’t cover until I review how my plan is managed, which could also take 4-6 weeks

so, we are calling on our village to help us pay and get the ball rolling.  If/when  NDIS release the funds I can return every cent donated to this campaign.

the organisation don’t have ZIP pay and I don’t have a credit card,. These would be my only source of credit.

as mentioned, this is so hard for me to ask. I have always been exceptionally proud of my independence, especially as a single parent. But- Lilly’s immediate needs are actually way more important than my pride
