HELP MARK AND WENDY - SPOUSE CANCER CARE & URGENT VET COSTS

Mark has been Battling multiple myeloma blood plasma cancer since 2017. Foundation resources became unavailable after Covid outbreaks in 2020. Insurance cobra payments $1700 for Mark and Wendy due to job change for Wendy.

Unexpected time off needed due to our dog Ringo having a disabling back disc injury that led to $5300 in vet bills since June 8th 2024 when he hurt himself while running. Wendy is taking temporary unpaid time off to thelp Ringo and Mark back to health. Mark’s health has declined and he still is on oral chemo and several other maintenance medications which will increase in costs to us after cobra coverage gone and we both join new healthcare plans. Employer coverage costs for both of us to be insured have escalated due to Wendy’s job change and due to our age since insurance companies csn charge 3 times the premium for employees 50 and up and rates are $1825 a month for Wendy’s employer plan making it difficult for employer, employee and employee spouse. Savings are gone and replaced with more credit debt due to all the unexpected expenses and future expenses will continue to accumulate as Mark has advanced and metastasized cancer in his jaw and has suffered osteoporosis of his jaw and will require oral surgery monitoring and follow up. Mark also has stage 4 chronic kidney disease and has chronic anemia needing proven shots every 2 weeks. This go fund me has not received donations in a long time but is still active. I am making this a dual purpose go fund me because people are asking to help out our dog Ringo and having 2 separate go fund me’s wasn’t practical. Ringo”s follow up is expensive as well and surgery option not needed yet but recovering is up to 6 weeks or more several with bed rests. Mark is fragile from cancer and will have a hard time helping Ringo out without extra help and support.
