Please Help Me Say Goodbye    

      Any parent's worst fear is to not being able to protect their children from whatever this world throws at them. You feed them, you change them, you love them unconditionally even when mistakes are made. You protect them from whatever obstacles this world throws at them. As years go by your love for your children only grows stronger.

   

As we all know life does happen, and unthinkable tragedies sadly occur  every day. Over two and half years ago,  “Gavin” loving son, father, and friend suffered an anoxic brain injury that resulted in a coma. The outcome was unsure due to how long the brain was without oxygen. Gavin’s parents knew that he was a fighter and hoped that their beloved son would be able to overcome this very tough battle.

     

Sleepless nights in the hospital and countless prayers later, Gavin’s family never gave up on him. Sadly, Gavin’s body was not able to recover from the severity of his injury. Recently he was  taken off life support. Susie, his loving and devoted mother is by his side. Due to the fact that she lives in Texas and Gavin is hospitalized in California makes it extremely difficult.

   

 She will be by Gavin’s side to the very end, but it is becoming more and more difficult to do so. Susie needs assistance with money so she is able to eat, stay in a hotel, and be there for her son 100 percent. Every little bit will help. A dollar, five dollars, anything you are able to donate will be received with love and eternal gratitude.

     

After a two and a half year battle to save her son, Susie knows that it is just a matter of time. But as a true mamma bear she wants to be with her son, hold his hand, give him loving kisses. Just be there for him to the very end. I know that times are tough for many people, but just imagine the sheer heartache this family has gone through.
