Helmets for Geneseo Youth Football

Thank you for taking the time to read this post.  This Go Fund Me page is hosted by Braden Ries and Sam Thomas.  We are Juniors at Geneseo High School and members of the Green Machine football team.  We are also former players in the Geneseo Youth Football program.    We are fortunate to be a part of a great community that supports both youth football as well as our high school program.   Both of these programs put player safety at the forefront and the coaches do a great job teaching the players proper technique and sportsmanship.    Geneseo Youth Football is nearly entirely funded by donations from the community.   In fact, players only pay $1 for a mouthpiece to play.  All other costs are donated.   While football is a great sport, it is no secret that players are at risk for injury including concussions.   Our goal is to raise money to help the youth program continue to purchase the safest helmets available for our local youth football players.   We are collecting funds now in hopes of presenting the Youth Football board with this donation in time to help purchase helmets to be used this coming fall.  Thank you so much for considering a donation to a cause that means so much to us.   During our seven plus years as players in the Geneseo football program we have seen so many players impacted by concussions and want to do all we can to help protect future players.   Thanks again -  Braden & Sam
