Front-line worker down– needs assistance

Our kindhearted friend and aunt, Laurie Geary, was hospitalized for 11 days in October with an undiagnosed illness during which she could barely speak or feed herself. She was then released to a nursing home, where she became infected with coronavirus while recovering from the other illness. After being sent home, lab tests revealed that the initial illness was another virus: West Nile.
Prior to her hospitalization, Laurie was on the front lines working in a nursing home, serving our most vulnerable where COVID-19 has hit the hardest. When you see "Heroes Work Here" signs at hospitals and care facilities, remember Laurie is one of them.
Laurie is regaining her strength and looks forward to returning to work in the new year, but needs our help covering her medical expenses. On behalf of Laurie and the extended Geary family, thank you for your support.
