Hi, I'm Tamzin, the writer/director of Front Row. I'm a student filmmaker about to embark on my final term at film school. This film will be the perfect opportunity to showcase everything I've learnt over the last few years.

Front Row tells the story of a young rugby boy who secretly joins the school play without telling his best friend and tries to balance the two opposing worlds of rugby and theatre.

It's a story I'm super passionate about. I grew up in theatre and I've always wanted to tell a story that highlights how it can be such a great place to discover who you are. I've been writing this script for over a year now and I am so excited to bring it to life with the help of my amazing crew.

Front Row explores themes of

self-discovery
friendship
growing up and growing apart
self-acceptance
toxic masculinity

It's a story of a boy stuck in between two worlds, unsure of where to go next. Neither option is easy. Will he choose to be the version of himself that he wants to be or remain trapped in the version everyone expects him to be?

WHERE WILL THE FUNDING GO?

We have kit already and are contributing some of our own money towards the project but are in need of funding to go towards transport, locations, catering and casting. Anything you could spare would be greatly appreciated.
