Hi everybody,

I am setting this up for my friend's daughter, Cleo, in hopes you will kindly consider helping this mighty little fighter.

Cleo Marguerite is a 21-month-old twin girl with dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), a condition of the heart in which the main pumping chamber becomes enlarged and weakened, and cannot pump blood efficiently to the rest of the body.

This little heart warrior has had more medical procedures than most people in their lifetime and she is not even two.

She was first admitted to the CICU with decompensated heart failure at 3 months of age, but Cleo proved to be unstoppable, reaching all her developmental milestones (and more) against all odds over the past year. However and even though Cleo was showing improvement with home medications and regular visits to the cardiologist, she is now back in the hospital and on the heart transplant list after a cardiac arrest scare. Cleo will also have a G-tube surgery due to poor weight gain stemming from her condition.

While Cleo has a big heart, she also has a big and bright attitude. She loves the color yellow and her aunt's dogs, and is a big fan of the Beatles and rockets.

Cleo is truly one of a kind and can brighten anyone's day with her charm and charisma.

Please help Cleo and her family on their heart transplant journey.

No donation is too small when it comes from the heart.

One in 250 people are diagnosed with DCM and while easily detectable with testing, DCM can be a silent disease ongoing for years. Early detection and evaluation as well as genetic testing can save lives. Cleo is a carrier of the RPL3L gene associated with dilated cardiomyopathy. Currently reported in the medical literature, only seven cases of this mutation in relation to DCM have been reported thus far.
