From Wenatchee to Lucca: Support My Opera Journey!

Hey Friends!

This summer (June/July 2025), I’ve been selected to attend a full-immersion opera study abroad program in Lucca, Italy, called Accademia Vocale Lorenzo Malfatti! I’ll be living in an apartment, shopping, cooking, studying, and singing – all in Italian!

Back in December, I auditioned for this program and was thrilled to be chosen as one of around 15 students from around the US to attend this incredible opportunity. It’s such an honor to represent the Wenatchee Valley and Central Washington University's Vocal Performance program! These types of intensive study abroad experiences are key to helping me pursue my dream of performing opera, especially with the immersive language environment and the world-class faculty I’ll be working with!

My audition earned me a spot in the program, as well as a partial scholarship to cover the educational portion of my expenses. However, I’ll still need to raise funds for living and travel costs. Since time is tight and I’m a full-time music student, I’ve decided to raise funds through a GoFundMe campaign and an Evening of Arias: Music, Stories, and Fellowship. I’d love for you all to join me for a wonderful evening, and please come ready to share your wisdom and any European/Italian travel stories!
