The world is at a critical moment for climate action. Leaders are meeting in Türkiye this November to decide what comes next, and young people are ready to step up.
Across Kenya, discarded clothing piles up in open dumps and pollutes the neighbourhoods around them. Young people in those same neighbourhoods are turning that waste into products, jobs and cleaner streets.
The Kenya Upcycling Innovation Hub is built on a simple idea: every piece of textile waste has worth. Young designers, tailors and artisans collect, repair and remake discarded fabric into new clothing and goods. Each item creates income, builds skills and keeps waste out of rivers and dumpsites. The goal is a greener, more inclusive Kenya, where women, youth and underserved communities lead the way to a cleaner economy.
With your help young leaders will take that vision to COP31, the United Nations climate summit, in Antalya, Türkiye. Together we will show world leaders what youth-led upcycling already achieves in Kenya, and make the case for spreading it further.
On 18 November they will speak at a high-level session on climate action that improves people's lives. Government leaders and international organisations will be in the room. The summit runs from 9 to 20 November, so flights and accommodation need to be booked now.
Young people will live longest with the decisions made in Antalya. Young people are already building the answers in their own communities. They belong in the rooms where those decisions are made.
We are raising USD 5,000 to cover flights, visas, accommodation and meals. Every contribution brings them closer to Antalya. Please donate today and help carry the message of Waste to Worth to the world stage.
Funds go to the Kenya Upcycling Innovation Hub, and every donation receives a receipt.
