Help My Family Evacuate Gaza
Donation protected
Dear World,
My name is Mohammed Mousa, a 37-year-old Palestinian. I am married with two children and hold a bachelor's degree in civil engineering with an excellent GPA, as well as a master of science in civil engineering, specializing in infrastructure, again graduating with an excellent GPA.
The university before the destruction,
Today, I find myself compelled to reach out due to the urgent and dire circumstances we face in Gaza. The ongoing conflict has rendered our environment unimaginably unsafe, and with a heavy heart, I seek your support to help us evacuate to a place of safety and hope for a better future.
My children deserve to live in peace, free from the traumas of conflict. Their right to a secure and joyful childhood is paramount, and my plea underscores the critical need for evacuation and the broader imperative of ensuring a safe world for all children.
The destruction accompanying the conflict has cost me my job as a civil engineering labs teacher at the university, eliminating our primary source of income. With each day, we face the looming threats of violence and deprivation, with no safe haven available.
The university after the destruction,
The funds will facilitate our travel through the Rafah border crossing into Egypt, with a subsequent journey to Germany, where my brother resides.
I appeal to you—friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers—for support in funding our evacuation. The raised funds will primarily cover transportation costs, detailed as follows:
Passport fees: €200 per person (totaling €800 for our family of four).
Evacuation Fee/Egyptian Coordination: €5,000 per adult and €2,500 per child (reflecting current fees and coordination expenses at the Egyptian border).
Transportation to Rafah Crossing: €200.
Visa application fees: €300 per person (a total of €1,200 for our family).
Flight from Cairo to our destination (one-way): €500 per person (totaling €2,000 for our family).
And some extra living costs for couple of months.
Your contribution, regardless of size, can significantly impact our lives, offering us a chance to escape the cycle of violence and uncertainty. By supporting this campaign, you're providing my family with a lifeline to rebuild, heal, and start afresh.
We are profoundly grateful for your consideration and generosity. Your support will make an indelible difference in our lives.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
