My name is Rima, I’m from Gaza. Like so many others, my life was turned upside down by the war.

I lost my father and my sister during the attacks. I survived, but with a severe injury that left me in need of urgent medical care. With great difficulty, I was able to leave Gaza and travel to Egypt for treatment. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done — leaving my mother and siblings behind in a war zone, not knowing if I would see them again.

While I was in Egypt, I was offered a rare opportunity: the chance to continue my studies in France. Education has always been my dream — a way to rebuild, to heal, and to create a future despite all that I’ve lost.

I am now in France, trying to start a new chapter. But my heart is still with my family. My mother and siblings are still in Gaza, living in a tent under extremely harsh conditions — no electricity, limited access to clean water, and surrounded by destruction and fear. Every day, I worry about their safety and survival.

I created this GoFundMe not just to support myself, but to help my family — to get them the basic necessities they need, and eventually, to bring them to safety.
