Help Restore My Kindergarten in Sudan – A Source of Hope and Education

my name is Shahd, and I’m fundraising to help rebuild the kindergarten in Sudan where I first started my education. This is the kindergarten where I learned my ABCs — where my journey began.

Today, I’m a Doctor of Pharmacy, and I owe part of that to the foundation I got here.

“Rawdat Nour Al-Huda” is the kindergarten where I first learned the alphabet, made my earliest friends, and felt the love of learning. It’s not just a school — it’s a place that shaped who I am today.

My teacher there, who was like a second mother to me, has been deeply affected by the war in Sudan. She recently returned from Al-Shamaleyya (Northern Sudan), only to find the kindergarten severely damaged — the roof has collapsed, and the place is in heartbreaking condition.

She is now the sole provider for her elderly, bedridden mother, and this kindergarten was her only source of income. Not only did she teach there, but she also opened its doors to orphaned children, giving them a chance to learn and grow.

I am starting this fundraiser to help her rebuild the kindergarten and restore it to a safe and welcoming place for children. Every contribution — no matter how small — will help bring back hope to this small corner of Sudan that once gave me so much.

روضة نور الهدى هي المكان اللي اتعلمت فيه أول حروف، وكانت هي الأساس اللي بنيت عليه مستقبلي

اليوم أنا دكتورة صيدلة، وده جزء كبير من فضله يرجع للتعليم والمحبة اللي تلقيتهم في روضة نور الهدى على يد ماما رجاء

أستاذتي في الروضة، الإنسانة الطيبة الحنونة ماما رجاء، اتضررت كتير جداً من الحرب. رجعت من الشمالية بعد النزوح، ولقت الروضة حالتها صعبة جداً، والسقف واقع والمكان كله محتاج ترميم. الروضة كانت مصدر دخلها الوحيد، وهي حالياً العائل الوحيد لأمها القعيدة.

الروضة دي ما كانت بس لتعليم الأطفال، أستاذتي كانت بتعلم فيها أيتام كمان، من غير ما تنتظر مقابل. كانت بتفتح باب الأمل ليهم في ظروف صعبة جداً.

أنا ببدأ الحملة دي عشان نساعدها نرجّع الروضة زي ما كانت، مكان آمن ودافيء للأطفال. أي دعم، حتى لو بسيط، ممكن يصنع فرق كبير.
