From Trail to Table: Help Us Launch MTP
Donation protected
We’re the founders of MT Provisions (MTP), and this journey started the summer after our sophomore year of high school. On a backpacking trip in 2021, we hiked deep into the mountains and caught trout from a crystal-clear alpine lake. That night, we sat on the ground for over two hours cleaning and cooking the fish — crouched awkwardly in the dirt, balancing gear on rocks, and wishing we had something… anything… to make it easier.
That’s when the idea hit us:
Backpackers deserve a table too.
But every camping table on the market was way too bulky and heavy to realistically take into the backcountry. So we got to work. We sketched up a new idea — a compact, ultralight table that straps to a tree and sets up at any height. Over the next few years, while finishing high school and adjusting to college life, we kept refining the design in our free time.
Now, after dozens of prototypes and field tests, we’ve created something we’re proud of:
An ultralight, tree-strapped table designed specifically for backpackers.
Weighs just 0.6–0.75 lbs
14" x 11" surface for cooking, prepping, and organizing gear
Straps to trees at any height — perfect for uneven or rocky terrain
Optional fuel canister attachment for safer, elevated cooking
We’ve reached the point where our idea is more than just a personal project — it’s ready to become a product. That’s why we’re launching this GoFundMe. Your support will help us:

This table was born out of a real backpacking moment. We lived the problem — and now we’ve built the solution. With your help, we can bring this tool to others who love getting outside as much as we do.
Whether you're an outdoor enthusiast, a lover of good ideas, or someone who just believes in supporting young entrepreneurs — thank you for being here. Let’s make life on the trail a little more comfortable, one table at a time.
