From Tragedy to Recovery

Hi, my name is Valerie Marr, and I am reaching out for help during a critical time for my family. My sister, Ashley Laramie, and my mother, Elizabeth Laramie, are facing severe challenges that we cannot overcome alone.

My sister, has been struggling with homelessness and addiction for several years. Despite our best efforts, she has been unable to find the strength to seek help and turn her life around. She has been relying heavily on our mother, who is battling multiple serious health conditions, including congestive heart failure, diabetes, and paranoid schizophrenia.

Recently, my sister suffered a severe injury. In a tragic accident, she jumped off a roof aiming for the pool but missed, resulting in significant injuries. This incident has left our family in a state of crisis. My mother, already dealing with her own health issues, is now unable to care for my sister, and we are facing mounting medical bills and the urgent need for rehabilitation and support services.

As it is, I am the primary caregiver for both my mother and my significant other, who also requires my support. Balancing these responsibilities has become overwhelming, especially since we live in a rural area and recently had our only vehicle break down. This has made it even more challenging to access medical care and other essential services. Additionally, my mother is healing from cataract surgery in both eyes and is awaiting surgery to have two stents put in for her heart.
