Back in December, my dad suffered a devastating fall that turned our world upside down. What began as one injury has led to 10 surgeries and a long, painful journey that he’s still fighting through. He is currently in the hospital, and his road to recovery is far from over.

While part of his treatment took place in Mexico, where medical costs had to be paid out-of-pocket, the financial burden has followed us home. On top of the mounting medical bills, everyday expenses here in the U.S. have started to pile up. We’re doing everything we can, but we can’t do it alone.

My dad is a hardworking man with a deep love for truck driving, his strength, work ethic, and generous spirit have carried him through hard times. He has a deep love for his family and grandchildren—they are his greatest joy. My dad is the kind of person who never hesitates to help others. He’s always been the first to lend a hand to others in tough times, and now it’s our turn to show up for him.

• Emergency support for his continued care and recovery
