My Journey to Law School – A Story of Faith, Resilience, and Purpose
Hi, my name is Raysean Lockhart, and I’m incredibly grateful to share that I’ve been accepted into law school and will be relocating out of state to begin this next chapter of my life in mid-August.
This journey has been filled with challenges, but through God’s grace and perseverance, I’ve made it here. As a first-generation law student and former teacher, I’ve spent the past few years mentoring youth, coaching, and working in the criminal justice system to serve others and advocate for change. I’ve now been called to do that on a deeper level—as an attorney.
While I’ve been blessed to receive some scholarship support, relocating and preparing for law school comes with significant costs—housing, transportation, school supplies, law books, basic furniture, and daily living expenses. My goal is to raise $10,000 to help cover these transition costs so I can start strong and focused.
If you feel led to give, any amount—large or small—would be a huge blessing. And if you can’t give financially, prayers and shares are just as appreciated. I believe this journey isn’t just about me, but about the people I’ll one day stand up for in justice.
Thank you for reading my story. Thank you for believing in me. And thank you for being part of this next step in my journey.
With gratitude,
Raysean Lockhart
