From Texas to Safety: Skye the Trans Woman Needs You

Hello! My name is Skye! Most of you don’t know who I am but we probably have one thing in common. We’re both trans, and as any trans person knows, the political climate surrounding our existence is volatile, toxic, and dangerous. Of the 50 US states 2 are currently labeled as “unsafe to travel” for trans people. Those states being Texas and Florida. Unfortunately I’m stuck In Texas. I was born and raised here, while I love it for being my home, my home no longer wants me back. Like many of you reading this I am scared for what the future may hold for us. I’m looking for my way out, but saving up money when I make so little per hour is impossible combined with my high rent. So here I am asking you for help.

A little about me..

I am 2 years on HRT, out as a trans woman to everyone I know, trying to live my best life. The occassional harassment from customers at work or coworkers hasnt been able to deter me. But I’m also not JUST a trans woman. I played football and ran track in highschool, I was a firefighter, I was a paramedic, I am a gamer, an artist, a friend, a lover, and so much more. I love pets! I have on more than one occassion fostered a pet for my friends, and let people sleep on my couch when they randomly got evicted. My whole life it seems i’ve been really focused on helping others, and I think I’m ready to ask for help myself. I cant seem to get out of Texas alone, if you can help in any amount it could literally save my life.
