From Survivors to Thrivers

"Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares." - Hebrew 13:2

Between managing my classes, my family, and everything else, I can't just sit and wait until I graduate or have money to help people.

I need your help to assist sex-trafficking survivors in Nepal who are struggling more than ever due to the impact of Covid-19.

Many organizations on the ground that provide housing and support for these rescued girls are facing dire challenges and need urgent assistance to ensure the safety and progress of these young survivors who have already endured so much in their lives.

I am heading to Nepal with a group of individuals from Google, a University in Idaho, and an education company to conduct workshops on mental health, entrepreneurship, women's hygiene, and basic computer training.

As I travel to Nepal, I will be working directly with the beneficiaries, leading and organizing these workshops with the group that is coming with me.

But our mission doesn't stop there. We will also be helping families in high-risk flooded areas to be prepared if floods occur. We will work within the community, using our skills to empower these grassroots organizations to be more efficient in their efforts by assisting them in solving their operational challenges.

You might think that slavery is a thing of the past, but right now, almost 50 million people are trapped in slavery worldwide. This is a problem that affects every country on earth, including yours. Modern slavery takes many forms, including human trafficking and people being born into slavery.

How will the funds be used?

The funds will be utilized to provide essential resources such as women hygiene kits, laptops, school supplies, and emergency preparedness kits to those in need. Additionally, we will support schools by upgrading their infrastructure through providing furniture, supplies, and painting their buildings. Furthermore, we will cover the education expenses of survivors ensuring they have access to quality education and necessary support.

Why now?

Covid-19 has set these survivors and school-going children back by 5 years in their learning. With schools shut for more than two years in these countries, there has been a loss of 57% of learning. Many organizations have lost their resources, employees and funding.

We all face struggles in life. I am a survivor in many ways myself. I have overcome poverty, hopelessness, and much more but Today, in America, I don't have to worry about having clean drinking water or access to education or mental health resources. I have been fortunate to receive help from people who believed that helping just one child can change their entire world.

Why donate to me?

For all the reasons mentioned above, for my passion to impact lives, for my track record of making a difference in the past, and for my commitment to continue doing so. And if for nothing else, you can rest assured that your donation will be put to work effectively.

Join me in this mission to empower sex-trafficking survivors in Nepal and help them go from survivors to thrivers. Your support can make a real difference in their lives. Every donation, no matter how big or small, counts. Together, we can make a positive impact and bring hope to those who need it the most.

Let me simplify it for you.

Setting a goal of $10,000 may seem overwhelming as it was for me even to set this goal. It is a significant amount of money. However, consider the following perspective:

The average cost of a cup of Starbucks coffee is $2.75, and with the company selling about 4 billion cups of coffee annually, Starbucks coffee drinkers spend an estimated $3.50 per day on coffee.
If you buy one coffee a day, that comes out to $105 per month. However, many people buy 2-3 coffees from Starbucks, which can add up to between $215 - $315 per month.

On unnecessary expenses, we tend to spend $13.70 per day, totaling to $5000 per year.

So, imagine if you donated your haircut money and cut down on your coffee spending, you could make a significant impact in someone's life and this someone is a real person in need.

To reach my goal, I only need 334 people to contribute $30 each. Your donation and sharing this cause with your network can help me reach my goal.

How will I be updated?

I will provide regular updates on the progress I make in July 2023, and how your contributions are positively impacting the lives of people in Nepal.
Thank you for your generosity and kindness.
