Hi, my name is Kamaya — and I’m on a mission to finally build a life and career that I truly love.

I’ve spent years in retail management—working hard, leading teams, and staying strong for everyone around me. I’ve always been the one to figure things out, even when life got tough. But deep down, I’ve never stopped searching for something more… something that lights me up, makes me proud, and gives my life purpose.

That’s what led me to CAT adjusting — becoming a catastrophe field adjuster who travels to disaster zones and helps families begin to rebuild after floods, fires, hurricanes, and other emergencies. This work calls to me because I know what it feels like to face hard moments and not have the answers. I want to be that calm, caring presence who shows up when people feel like they’ve lost everything.

I only have one life. And I don’t want to spend it just “getting by.” I want to live it fully — doing something that matters, something that heals, something that helps. Becoming a CAT adjuster will finally allow me to turn my strength, compassion, and drive into a career that helps others and gives me the life I’ve always dreamed of.

To get started, I’m asking for your help raising $5,000 to cover the essential costs of training, licensing, and deployment. Here’s how the funds will be used:

• $700 – Licensing course and exam

• $600 – Rope & harness safety certification + flights

• $200 – Roof inspection ladder

• $500 – Toolbelt, measuring gear, and safety tools

• $500 – Laptop and camera for documentation

• $1,000+ – Used vehicle, insurance, and registration

• Remaining funds will support travel, software, and emergency gear

I’m not just doing this for me. When — not if — I become successful in this field, I plan to give back and invest in others who are walking this same path. I know there are people just like me—determined, driven, and full of purpose—but stuck because they don’t have the resources. One day, I want to be the person who helps them get started too.
