Single Mom. Survivor. Almost Nurse. Just Need a Little Help to Finish.
I’ve carried so much for so long so I’m a little nervous to ask for help. But here I am, because I’m almost at the finish line… and I’m struggling to get across it.
My name is Brianna I’m a single mother of two amazing kids, a survivor of domestic violence, and a full-time nursing student. I graduate this December. I’ve made it this far by sheer determination, long nights, early mornings, and prayers whispered in silence.
I pay for everything—rent, food, gas, bills- I drive two hours one way just to get to school. Some days, I drive on fumes, show up exhausted, smile through the pain, and do what I have to do—because I want a better life for my kids. I want them to see their mother heal, fight, and win.
I’m the first in my immediate family to make it this far. I’ll be the first to become a Nurse. And I’m not doing it for recognition—I’m doing it because I know what it feels like to need care, to feel invisible, to suffer in silence. I want to be the nurse who shows up with heart, not just skills. The one who sees people.
But right now, I need help. Tuition. Clinical fees. Gas. Scrubs. Food. Rent. Life. I’ve stretched every dollar and every ounce of strength I have. I’m almost there. I just need help making it across the finish line.
I push through the overwhelm because I’m fighting for more—for them, for me, and for every woman who’s ever had to rebuild after being broken.
I just want to walk across that stage, in cap and gown, and look out to see my children watching. I want them to know: we made it. That their mom never gave up.
If you can give, I’m forever grateful.
If you can help—even a little—it means everything. Every dollar helps me stay in school, keep a roof over our heads, and finish strong. And every share brings me closer to that moment where I finally get to say: We did it.
Thank you for helping me finish strong.
With love,
Brianna
