Hi everyone,

This is one of the hardest things we’ve ever had to write, but we’re at a point where we have no choice but to ask for help.

We have until August 1st to move out of our current living situation. If we don’t, we’ll be facing the reality of having to stay in a hotel with our two ESA pets, with no guarantee of how long we could afford it. Beyond the financial stress, this would put both of our jobs at serious risk and unravel all the progress we’ve been working so hard to make.

We’re not just sitting back hoping for things to change—we’ve both been fighting to turn our situation around:

I recently earned a raise at work after months of dedication.

My partner has obtained his security license and is lined up to start a second job.

We’ve been applying for apartments nonstop, and we’ve finally found a place that would work for us.

The only thing standing in our way now is the upfront move-in costs.

These places move quickly, and landlords require application fees, security deposits, and first month’s rent just to secure a unit. We’ve stretched every dollar we have, but it’s not enough to cover all these costs by the deadline.

We’re not looking for a handout. We’re looking for a lifeline—a chance to step into stable housing and keep building on the progress we’ve made. I’m even willing to pay back every dollar we receive over time.

If you’ve ever known what it feels like to be so close to turning a corner—only to realize you’re short by just one or two steps—then you know how much this means to us.

Every donation, every share, every bit of encouragement gets us closer to making it through this.
