The Moment Vinnie Found Us

On the very first day of our holiday in Crete, a fragile little kitten stumbled into our lives. He was nothing but skin and bones, desperately hungry and weak — yet somehow still full of trust, hope, and the sweetest little character.

He chose us as his people and from that moment, our hearts belonged to him.

Every day we searched for him, made sure he had food, water, and cuddles, and promised ourselves we would keep him safe.

Heartbreak on the Streets

Just a few days later, our happiness turned into heartbreak. We saw Vinnie being abused by local children, his tiny body being treated with cruelty and unkindness. The sight was unbearable!

We stepped in to protect him, but deep down we knew: as long as he remained on the streets, he would never be safe. Leaving him behind was simply not an option.

Our Mission to Save Him

We reached out in desperation and, thanks to VOCAL (a wonderful non-profit dedicated to the welfare of stray cats in Greece), Vinnie was given a lifeline.

We scooped him up, carried him in a makeshift travel box in the back of a taxi and delivered him to a foster home where, for the first time, he could rest without fear. For now, he is safe.

But his journey is far from over.

A Future Full of Love

Tiny Vinnie is just 3.5 months old — and yet he has already endured more suffering than any kitten ever should. Despite it all, he’s still fighting for life, still purring, still trusting.

Now it’s our turn to fight for him. We want to give him the second chance he deserves: a forever home with us in the UK, where he will never again know hunger, cruelty, or fear.

But bringing Vinnie home comes at a cost:

• Vaccinations and vet care

• Four weeks of foster fees

• Passport and paperwork

• Travel and flights

Together, these add up to around £500.

Any extra funds that we raise will go directly to VOCAL to help support the amazing work they do helping and caring for the cats of Greece.
