From Surviving to Thriving: Help Me Heal My Body

Hi, my name is Maricela, and I’m sharing my story with vulnerability, strength, and hope.

Over the past few years, I’ve experienced a powerful transformation, physically, mentally, and spiritually. I lost a significant amount of weight through pure dedication, consistency, self-love, and a whole lot of prayer. These past few years have been what I can only describe as a roller coaster. I changed my life, one meal, one workout, and one mindset shift at a time.

But with that transformation came something I didn’t expect to struggle with this deeply: loose, excess skin.

While I’ve worked hard to become healthier, this extra skin is a daily reminder of where I was. It hangs on my body, causes discomfort, limits movement, and weighs on my confidence. I’ve come so far, but this skin is holding me back from truly feeling free in the body I’ve fought so hard to reclaim.

And here’s the hard part: I don’t have health insurance. Skin removal surgery is expensive and because it’s considered “cosmetic,” I have no coverage or support to access this care on my own.

That’s why I’m reaching out.

I’ve done everything I could to transform my life naturally, but this final step requires help.
