From Stone Mountain to Wakanda: Help Bring This Vision to Life

Hello, my name is Meshach Harvey, aka Shy-L7, and I’m fundraising to create a powerful music video that will bring my song Stone Mountain to life.

This isn’t just a song—it’s a story, a movement, and a call to action. It’s a response to the pain, resilience, and courage of a community fighting for justice. With your help, we can turn this anthem into a visual masterpiece that honors the past, confronts the present, and inspires a better future.

Introducing Stone Mountain
The year is 2020. The COVID-19 pandemic is raging, and the world is on fire. George Floyd has been murdered. Breonna Taylor has been slain. Ahmaud Arbery has been shot to death. In the midst of this pain, a militant Black empowerment group, the Not F*ing Around Coalition (NFAC)**, rises to protect their communities and stand against oppression. Led by the enigmatic Grandmaster Jay, a former DJ and independent presidential candidate, the NFAC becomes a symbol of resistance and hope.

Every July 4th since the rebirth of the Ku Klux Klan in 1915, white supremacists have gathered at Stone Mountain, Georgia—a monument to Confederate leaders and a symbol of hate and trauma for the African American community. But in 2020, the NFAC decides enough is enough. After making their presence known in Black communities and rallies, they announce their intention to confront the Klan at Stone Mountain on July 4th.

The Klan threatens violence, vowing to harm innocent Black lives. The air is thick with tension and fear. But on that fateful day, the NFAC arrives at Stone Mountain, dressed in all-black military fatigues, ready to stand their ground.

The Klan is nowhere to be found.

Whether out of fear, guilt, or an unwillingness to face the truth, they flee. The NFAC’s courage sends a powerful message: the time for hate is over. The time for justice is now.

The Birth of the Song
Inspired by these events, I collaborated with my uncle, Carl Harvey—an incredible producer, artist, and musician—to create Stone Mountain. What began as a tribute to the NFAC’s bravery evolved into a deeper conversation about the abuse, oppression, and murder of Black people throughout history and in the present day.

Stone Mountain is more than a song—it’s an experience. It’s a journey through pain, resilience, and hope. It’s a call to action, a demand for accountability, and a celebration of unity.

The Vision for the Music Video
This music video will bring the story of Stone Mountain to life in vivid detail. It will honor the NFAC’s courage, confront the legacy of racism, and celebrate the strength of the Black community. Through powerful visuals, historical reenactments, and symbolic imagery, we’ll create a video that resonates with viewers on a deep, emotional level.

But we can’t do it alone.

How You Can Help
By contributing to this campaign, you’re not just funding a music video—you’re supporting a movement. You’re helping us tell a story that needs to be heard. You’re standing with us as we confront injustice, celebrate resilience, and inspire change.
