From Skiing to Strings: Nora's Path
Donation protected
My name is Nora Zarycki and I have been playing violin since the age of four. I’m raising funds to help me with my next step, studying violin performance in college! I grew up in Billings and East Glacier, Montana, but have spent the past three years living in northern Michigan studying at Interlochen Arts Academy. Even though my journey with violin started at a very young age, I am much more than a musician. I spend my summers hiking in Glacier and as much time that I possibly can outside. I grew up competitively skiing until my freshman year when I tore my ACL, MCL, and meniscus. That summer is when I attended camp at Interlochen and was immersed in an entirely new world of music. It was then when I figured out that I wanted violin to be a bigger part of my life. I received a very generous scholarship that made it possible for my family to support me attending, and music has brought me to places I once thought were impossible to reach. I am very excited to graduate in May and to attend music school this fall and I’m extremely grateful for the support from my community that has helped me get here.
I am raising funds to help attend college at Jacob’s School of Music @ Indiana University. The funds raised will go towards housing costs and tuition.
Please watch my senior recital!
