In 2024, I finally followed my dream of building my own camper van. With no prior experience, I learned everything myself and spent a year creating my home on wheels. By May 2025 it was finished — my freedom, my pride. I quit my job and set off on my journey.

After two wonderful months in Southern Europe, I suffered severe burns in a cooking accident while volunteering in the Pyrenees. While I was receiving treatment the hospital in Barcelona, the unthinkable happened: my camper, with all my belongings inside, was stolen. Everything I had built with love and over €30,000 in value was gone. Insurance covers almost nothing.

In an instant, I lost my savings, my work, and my freedom. Now I have to start over while recovering from my injuries. It’s a tough road, but I’m determined to one day rebuild my dream van.

With your support, I can slowly rebuild my life and my dream. My initial goal is €10,000 – this is not the full amount needed to build a new camper van, but it gives me a starting point to get going again. I have thought long and hard about asking for help in this way; with everything going on in the world, it feels strange, but I see no other way to make this possible. Every contribution, big or small, will help me purchase a van again and eventually turn it into my dream camper.

Support doesn’t have to be financial alone. Materials or access to a workspace would make a huge difference in the rebuilding process.
